Fantastic location! very good
Fantastic location in a valley surrounded by towering mountains, some covered in snow even in July! A site very well equipped for year round use and in particular for people in tents as there are day rooms and communal kitchens. There is a well stocked on-site shop and restaurant. A short walk takes you into Lauterburnnen with several hotels, restaurants and shops. You can buy a rail pass and travel all over as we did. In fact we did not use our car at all in the 8 days we were there. There is so much to see and do in the area. The highlight had to be taking the train through the Eiger to the highest railway station in Europe and then going walking in the snow in July. Thank goodness we had done our research and taken warm clothing! A wonderful experience the scenery was just stunning.
